rad-ish (rad-ish) n. 1. Any of various plants of the genus Raphanus, esp. R. sativus, having a thickened, edible root. 2. The pungent rool of the radish, eaten raw as an appetizer and in salads. [Old English] Old English raedic is from Latin radix, radic- ‘root’.
